The Challenge
The health app market is saturated, yet most apps either overwhelm users with data or oversimplify to the point of being useless after a week. Users churn quickly because the apps don't adapt to their pace, celebrate real progress, or help them understand the connection between sleep, nutrition, and performance.
Our Approach
The core design philosophy behind Grown was "progress over perfection." We stripped away the noise and focused on three pillars: consistency tracking, holistic insights, and gentle accountability.
Onboarding was built around goal-setting rather than data collection — asking users what they want to feel, not just what they want to weigh. The home dashboard was designed as a daily check-in, not a data dashboard, giving users a clear picture of today's priorities at a glance.
